JW Youtube, Partnership / Ad's
by Pig injust wondered what you guys think.
apparently youtube has managed to silence the average video makers, push them off the "featured video list" and only promote the big guys with ad revenue enabled.
allot of talented musicians and film makers have left as a result of this, and they have been replaced with attention whores screaming "look at me, i say rude stuff, look at my hair!".

Once you raise the flag of dissent the axe of conformity will chop it down. Meaning, you just resigned and put them on notice you are an apostate. You aren't flying under the radar, your pissing on it.

how prevalent do you think this attitude is?
by cptkirk inpeople in congregations around the country (world - i have no idea what goes on in other countries with the jws) staying in the borg for all kinds of backwards reasons?
how prevalent %% wise do you think this is?
for example people manifesting "fear of man", fear of being ridiculed by members for leaving, or family reasons, or just to much stock in the organization to take the loss connected with leaving....all of whom really no longer believe the faith the way it's presented?

I think most who stay in beleive 89 % of it or more. They stay because of the axiom: "where else shall we go?". They buy into the teaching of: "The worst day as a witness is better than the best day being a worldly person." It's all part of the conditioning.

I have decided that I am a now a "No-Hova Witness", how about you?
by Wasanelder Once ini've gone from being indifferent to becoming an full fledge non believer in anything much.
i guess i'm now a "no-hova" witness.
there's nothing about the wt or the bible for that matter that holds any importance in my life or death.

AGuest: My apologies for not getting back but I was studying the inside of my eyelids. I tend to do a lot of extra studying these days. You needn't study for questions, they don't have answers anyway. You needn't send money, there's no one to spend it to. You do need to donate though, into a bank account of your own making for any purpose other than a religious organization. Baptism is by sprinkling a little mountain dew or beverage of your choice into a glass and saying, "there's no place like home." Go and be blessed.

Well said Ambersum. It often amazes me that more sisters don't see through the haze though the ones that do are so sensible and admirable.

CptKirk: Kinda foggy there. I meant to say that I left the WT over 6 years ago but thought maybe their was something beneficial in a God. I've struggled with this one all my life thinking that the Jehovah was the answer. Now I see that God is a concept, to quote a Beatle. I'm willing to join the ranks of the declared unbelievers. I just thought No-Hova sounded cool. Take a pill.

Why did the Ethiopian require "explanation" of scripture in Acts 8?
by sabastious inacts 8 29-31: 29 the spirit told philip, go to that chariot and stay near it.. 30 then philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading isaiah the prophet.
do you understand what you are reading?
philip asked.. 31 how can i, he said, unless someone explains it to me?

Why do exJW family members not reach out to other exJW family members?
by truthseeker ini don't know if this strange phenomenon is unique to my family but it seems that those who have left the truth have little to no interest in reaching out to those family members who have also left the religion.. it seems topsy turvy to me.
surely, there would be common ground and mutual support for those leaving/have left but this does not seem to be the case.. does anyone else have this problem?.

Believe it or not you had the "TRUTH" in common. Now you don't. Even if you didn't like each other as Witnesses you had to get along with them because, let's face it you were going to "live forever" together and had better learn to get along before hand. Remember that gem?
